Head Barista – Coffee Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head Barista to lead daily coffee operations in Kuwait. You will ensure beverage quality, supervise a team of baristas, and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily coffee operations to maintain smooth workflow and high service standards.
• Prepare all beverages according to approved recipes, quality, and presentation guidelines.
• Monitor coffee quality, extraction consistency, and presentation through regular calibration and checks.
• Train, coach, and develop baristas to improve technical skills and product knowledge.
• Supervise team performance and uphold operational and customer service excellence.
• Address customer feedback and resolve service‑related concerns.
• Monitor inventory, control waste, and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene across all coffee preparation areas.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and keep coffee equipment fully operational.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities for efficiency, quality, and satisfaction.

Required profile

• At least 3 years in specialty coffee, premium cafés, hospitality, or similar.
• Minimum 1 year in a senior barista, shift‑leader, or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee extraction, brewing methods, and beverage quality standards.
• Proven experience in team supervision, coaching, and training.
• Leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with food safety, hygiene, and operational compliance.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high quality.
• Proficiency in English is preferred.
