Head Coach - Fitness Coaching Team

About the role

The Head Coach leads and oversees the Fitness Coaching Team, ensuring consistent coaching standards, member experience, team performance and fitness operations. The role develops and supports trainers, maintains training quality and drives member engagement and PT performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support the Fitness Coaching Team so that daily operations run effectively and comply with club standards.
• Manage trainer schedules, floor coverage, PT coverage, group classes and other fitness staffing needs.
• Set and maintain high standards of coaching, programming, exercise technique and training delivery.
• Coach, mentor and develop trainers to improve their technical knowledge, coaching skills, professionalism and performance.
• Deliver high-quality group fitness classes in line with approved club standards.
• Manage fitness team members and create a unique, enjoyable fitness experience for members, including prospecting, hiring and onboarding personal trainers and group fitness instructors.
• Identify training and development needs within the team and recommend learning opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or a related field.
• Certified in personal training, with experience in group classes and personal training.
• First Aid and CPR certification, and an internationally recognised fitness trainer licence.
• Member engagement and relationship building.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and strong customer service orientation.
