Head Waiter

About the role

The Head Waiter is a full‑time, on‑site position at Matbakhi by Sawsan in Kuwait City. Reporting to management, the role leads the dining‑room service team to deliver a high‑quality guest experience in a Levant‑inspired restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, manage table assignments and coordinate service flow.
• Supervise and guide the front‑of‑house team, ensuring adherence to service standards.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns and provide prompt resolutions.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage delivery.
• Monitor cleanliness and presentation of the dining area.
• Assist with menu explanations and support staff training.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Experience in food and beverage operations and supervisory or senior waiter roles.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
