Host/Hostess – Restaurant Front‑of‑House (Kuwait)

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host or Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests at a well‑known restaurant group in Kuwait. You will manage the flow of diners, ensure smooth seating, and contribute to an exceptional dining experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables and present menus.
• Handle reservations, waiting lists and table allocations efficiently.
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in Arabic and English.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception and waiting area.
• Communicate waiting times, restaurant policies and special requests to guests.
• Assist with guest concerns or complaints in a courteous manner.
• Coordinate with floor staff and management for VIP guests and special events.
• Uphold professional grooming and appearance standards at all times.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum height of 165 cm with a fit, well‑groomed appearance.
• Fluent verbal communication in both Arabic and English.
• 1–3 years of experience in restaurants, hotels, cafés or the broader hospitality sector.
• Friendly, customer‑focused attitude and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of reservation systems and customer handling.
