In-Room Dining Waiter

About the role

Jumeirah Messilah Beach, a beachfront resort in Kuwait with 316 rooms and suites, seven restaurants, cafés and lounges and extensive conference facilities, is looking for a waiter to join its In-Room Dining team. The role covers guest orders, minibar and amenities oversight, and works closely with other supervisors.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the company's food hygiene and safe food handling policies.
• Know the service standards for dishes and trolley preparation for the outlet.
• Identify problems early and ask for help before any breakdown occurs.
• Receive, stage and store items correctly, using FIFO rotation.
• Keep department information flowing between team members and follow the ordering procedure so operations run smoothly.
• Prioritise reducing breakage and supporting colleagues.
• Oversee minibar, amenities and in-room guest orders together with other supervisors.
• Use Symphony Micros for guest orders.
• Communicate daily operational challenges to the supervisor and the outlet manager.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience working in a five-star hotel.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and work in a multicultural environment.
• Knowledge of international cuisine.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP and general health and safety in the workplace.
• Familiarity with Symphony Micros.
