Land Surveyor – Chainman for Major Port Project

About the role

Egis Group is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor‑Chainman to support a major port development in Kuwait. The role is integral to the construction management team, ensuring precise land measurements and topographic data throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct accurate land surveys and topographic mapping of the port site using GPS, GIS and modern surveying equipment.
• Prepare detailed survey reports, maps and plans with AutoCAD and related software.
• Collaborate with construction managers and engineers to verify that project specifications align with survey data.
• Supervise on‑site survey crews, monitor construction progress and resolve any discrepancies related to land measurements.
• Maintain compliance with local and international surveying standards and keep comprehensive records of all survey activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of land surveying experience, preferably on port or marine projects.
• Proven background in construction management and supervision.
• Strong mathematical, analytical and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced use of GPS and GIS systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and other surveying software.
• Operation of modern surveying equipment and techniques.
