Legal Counsel (Commercial & Regulatory)

About the role

Talabat is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its commercial and regulatory activities across the Delivery Hero Group. The role involves providing legal expertise on contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters to ensure the business operates within applicable laws and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, service agreements, supplier and branding agreements, leasing, confidentiality, IP and employment documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions on a variety of legal issues.
• Identify and communicate potential legal risks associated with contracts and business initiatives.
• Coordinate litigation and investigations with external law firms, providing necessary documentation and evidence.
• Maintain relationships with local law firms for timely counsel on regulatory and compliance risks.
• Analyze regulatory developments, respond to inquiries from authorities, and represent the company when required.
• Develop compliance checklists for new products and projects, ensuring adherence to consumer protection, IP, food control and other relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law; an LLM is a plus.
• 3‑4 years of progressive legal experience, preferably in e‑commerce or a related sector.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills.
