Maintenance Team Leader

About the role

The Maintenance Team Leader (Chief Engineer) oversees all engineering and maintenance activities for a Hilton hotel, ensuring safety, security, conservation, and regulatory compliance. You will lead the engineering team, coordinate with housekeeping and external contractors, and drive energy‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily engineering and maintenance operations, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work orders.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities with Housekeeping for guest rooms and public areas.
• Develop and enforce health, safety, and environmental procedures for guests, staff, and plant equipment.
• Maintain compliance with government regulations and statutory requirements.
• Prepare capital and repair‑and‑maintenance budgets and monitor key performance indicators.
• Perform routine inspections, lift emergency releases, and diagnose mechanical equipment issues.
• Oversee renovation bidding, cost definition, and contractor performance.
• Implement energy‑conservation programs and environmentally‑friendly systems.
• Manage recruitment, performance, training, and motivation of the engineering team.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of building management and engineering principles.
• A degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with budgeting and basic accounting.
• Positive attitude, strong communication, and high customer‑service standards.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
