Management Associate, Operational Risk Management

About the role

The Management Associate in Operational Risk Management will support the organisation’s risk framework by handling incident collection, loss reconciliation and reporting activities. This position works closely with business units and finance to ensure accurate risk data and timely action on identified issues. The role contributes to the overall risk governance by ensuring that incidents are captured accurately and that corrective actions are tracked and reported.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and process operational risk event data.
• Manage operational risk incidents from identification through resolution.
• Coordinate with business teams to manage loss bookings and ensure proper documentation.
• Reconcile operational losses with the finance department on a monthly basis.
• Support Business Risk Champions in identifying root‑cause analyses (RCA) and challenging findings.
• Follow up on action‑plan implementation to meet service‑level agreements (SLA).
• Prepare and deliver incident and loss management reports for management review.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to handle operational risk incidents and loss reconciliation.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to interact with business and finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work within defined SLA timelines and follow up on action plans.
• Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement of risk processes.
• Familiarity with risk management terminology such as root‑cause analysis and service‑level agreements.
