Materials Engineer

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group, an independent integrated oilfield technology services company, is hiring a Materials Engineer in Kuwait through its On Sync Energy Management Services Company. The role provides techno-commercial support to procurement and maintenance teams and manages material availability for shutdowns, overhauls and planned maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide techno-commercial support to the procurement and maintenance teams.
• Coordinate the repair and refurbishment of major equipment and components.
• Liaise with operations, procurement and stores to evaluate technical bids, resolve technical queries and address material discrepancies.
• Review and manage spare parts requirements for new projects and ongoing maintenance.
• Prepare technical specifications and documentation for material codification and procurement.
• Monitor procurement to ensure timely availability of materials for shutdowns, overhauls and planned maintenance.
• Verify material availability reports and give regular inventory and procurement status updates.
• Maintain accurate inventory and procurement records using CMMS and other enterprise software.
• Support continuous improvement of inventory management and procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of techno-commercial experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy or Industrial sector.
• Minimum 4 years of experience using CMMS, ERP or inventory management systems (e.g. Maximo, SAP, Oracle).
• Experience in technical bid evaluation, vendor coordination and procurement support.

Required skills

• Procurement processes, inventory management, material codification and spare parts management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other engineering or enterprise management software.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
