Nursery Production Engineer – Kuwait

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Nursery Production Engineer to lead our commercial nursery and greenhouse operations in Kuwait. The role involves managing the full production cycle from propagation to saleable plants, ensuring high quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant production activities across assigned greenhouses and production areas.
• Manage the complete production cycle from seeds, cuttings, and propagation to finished plants.
• Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and quantity targets.
• Supervise potting and repotting stages, ensuring timely progression through production stages.
• Monitor plant growth, quality, uniformity, and production losses.
• Design and control irrigation and fertigation programs, including EC, pH, and water quality.
• Identify and treat pests, diseases, and nutritional deficiencies.
• Regulate greenhouse environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, ventilation, shading, and cooling.
• Lead foremen and production workers, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and on time.
• Maintain accurate production records and coordinate plant movements with inventory.
• Analyze production efficiency and recommend improvements to reduce losses, time, and cost.
• Ensure greenhouse cleanliness, organization, and plant hygiene standards.
• Report performance, issues, and corrective actions to the Farm/Nursery Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Production, or a related field.
• Proven hands‑on experience in commercial nursery or greenhouse plant production.
• Previous professional experience in GCC countries (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of propagation, potting, growing media, irrigation, fertigation, fertilizers, pesticides, and plant health.
• Good understanding of greenhouse climate management and cooling systems.
• Ability to diagnose plant problems and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent planning, organization, supervision, and follow‑up skills.
• Comfortable working in the field and supervising daily production activities.
• Experience with production records, inventory or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Good English communication skills.
