Part‑Time Field IT Support Engineer (Dispatch/On‑Need)

About the role

This part‑time position provides on‑site IT support on a dispatch or on‑need basis for two locations in Kuwait. When a ticket is raised, you will be notified at least 24 hours in advance to travel to the client site, troubleshoot, and resolve the issue.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to tickets and perform on‑site hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Repair or replace desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals while respecting warranty and security policies.
• Support basic network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP connections.
• Perform “Smart Hands” tasks such as cabling, rack mounting, and equipment configuration.
• Document work in ticketing tools (ServiceNow or Remedy) and follow up on preventive actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on field support experience.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lb and travel to client sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Associate degree in Electronics or related field (preferred) and CompTIA A+ certification.

Required skills

• Hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals).
• Operating system support – Windows, macOS, Linux.
• Network fundamentals – LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP.
• Smart Hands tasks – rack, cabling, switches, routers, firewalls.
• Ticketing systems – ServiceNow, Remedy.
• CompTIA A+ (or equivalent vendor certifications).
