About the role

The Patient Care Tech I works on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit during the night shift, providing essential support to patients, families, and the healthcare team. This role requires compassion, strong communication, and the ability to perform basic patient care tasks while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care, hygiene, and monitoring activities.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure all aspects of care are completed accurately.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Anticipate and respond proactively to patient needs throughout the night shift.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible night hours (6:30 pm – 7:00 am).
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills and to collaborate effectively with the care team.
• Problem‑solving mindset and proactive approach to patient needs.
