Patient Care Technician (RN Student) – PRN, Resource Team

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) position supports patients and families with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene while working closely with the Resource Team. This PRN role is ideal for an RN student who wants hands‑on experience in a clinical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Ensure that all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and compassionately.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.
• Provide education on CPR, skills training, crucial conversations, and hospitality in healthcare.

Required profile

• At least 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher).
• Overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts verified).
• Actively enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program with at least one semester completed.
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours (6:30 am–7:00 pm or 7:00 pm–6:30 am).
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
