About the role
The Purchase Engineer will manage vendor selection, develop supplier relationships, and negotiate supply contracts for Alghanim Industries in Kuwait. The role supports engineering and operations by ensuring procurement aligns with company procedures and business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure all procurement activities follow established company procedures.
- Conduct technical review of requirements from Engineering/Operations.
- Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers and evaluate received quotations.
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal price, delivery, and quality.
- Perform supplier/vendor evaluation after purchase order completion.
- Develop new sources to meet evolving business needs.
- Prepare management reports as required.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Industrial).
- In‑depth knowledge of procurement methods and procedures.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel or spreadsheet capability.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
