Roustabout – Oil & Gas Support Role

About the role

The roustabout provides essential support on oil and gas rigs, handling lifting, rigging, housekeeping, and basic maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist crane and forklift operators with loading, off‑loading, and rigging of drilling materials.
• Prepare and maintain lifting equipment, perform inspections, and use proper hand‑signalling techniques.
• Support rig moves as directed by the Driller.
• Help with drilling mud preparation, cleaning mud pits, and handling tubulars and tools.
• Maintain equipment, install thread protectors, and ensure proper storage of materials.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards; manage waste according to company policies.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paint as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical degree.
• Preferably 1 year of experience in oil & gas or a similar industrial environment.
• Age between 20 and 27 years.
• Elementary English and basic mathematical skills.
• Strong situational awareness, teamwork, and time‑management abilities.
