Senior Credit & Collections Officer – Group Credit Control

About the role

The Senior Credit & Collections Officer will lead the Group Credit Control function, managing credit assessments, collection activities and credit risk to ensure healthy cash flow and effective receivables management. This role reports to senior finance leadership and works closely with internal departments and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Review and recommend customer credit requests in line with approved policies.
• Monitor credit limits, periods and validity, proposing adjustments or renewals as needed.
• Assess new credit applications, verify supporting documentation and ensure procedural compliance.
• Conduct daily credit and collection analysis; prepare weekly and monthly management reports.
• Identify reasons for overdue balances and develop targeted collection action plans.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to resolve disputes and outstanding balances.
• Supervise the collection follow‑up team and monitor daily collection activities.
• Track Letters of Credit and post‑dated checks, ensuring timely submission to Treasury.
• Manage intercompany receivables and ensure timely settlement.
• Work with Legal on overdue accounts requiring legal action and follow up on cases.
• Participate in periodic meetings with Finance, Operations and Collection teams to review performance.
• Identify and implement improvements to credit and collection processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 10–12 years of proven experience in Credit & Collections, Credit Control or Accounts Receivable, preferably at a senior level.
