Specialist – Application Management Support

About the role

The IBM Safer Payments Support Specialist will ensure the continuous availability and optimal performance of the IBM Safer Payments solution. You will provide end‑to‑end application support, monitor system health, and collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve incidents and implement enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for IBM Safer Payments applications.
• Monitor application health, performance, and availability, and act within defined SLAs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues.
• Perform configuration, rule deployment, and parameter tuning.
• Coordinate with business users, vendors, and technical teams for issue resolution and enhancements.
• Support fraud detection operations and prevention initiatives.
• Manage application upgrades, patching, and release deployments.
• Maintain production and non‑production environments.
• Analyze logs and system performance to identify root causes.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare operational reports, documentation, and knowledge‑transfer materials.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery testing and business‑continuity activities.
• Provide on‑call support during critical incidents and planned activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience supporting IBM Safer Payments or similar fraud‑management solutions.
• Strong knowledge of payment systems, card transactions, fraud detection, and banking operations.
• Experience with clustered, high‑availability environments and Linux/Unix administration.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident‑management processes and networking concepts such as load balancers, firewalls and WAFs.
