Systems Administrator – Camp Arifjan (Kuwait)

About the role

The Leidos Sentinel program seeks a Systems Administrator to support US Army Central Command G2 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. This deployed role ensures the secure, reliable operation of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT systems across multiple networks.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and laptops across several locations.
• Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions using Active Directory.
• Maintain virtual environments (VMware) and physical hosts.
• Oversee NetApp storage devices and implement disaster‑recovery and COOP plans.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and configuration issues via PowerShell and basic network tools.
• Document system architecture, configurations, and security measures.
• Apply security patches, IAVAs, STIGs, and OS updates.
• Support Service Desk technicians with Tier I/II issues and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• HS Diploma/GED with 8+ years experience, or equivalent higher‑education degree with fewer years.
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance.
• Active 8570/8140 IAT II (or higher) baseline certification (e.g., Security+).
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts, 7 days a week, with 24/7 on‑call availability.
