Team Leader – Grocery (Retail)

About the role

The Team Leader – Grocery will drive quality, range and freshness standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience and meet sales targets within a hypermarket environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the commercial pricing policy for the grocery section.
• Manage product assortment and negotiate internal promotions with suppliers.
• Monitor and improve the Net Promoter Score (NPS) for the section.
• Provide input on price and freshness image to enhance the department’s appeal.
• Lead initiatives to minimise waste and shrinkage, and control waste reporting.
• Oversee order processing, delivery follow‑up and stock replenishment.
• Identify slow‑moving or depreciating items and drive sales before expiry.

Required profile

• Diploma in Commerce or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years experience in retail operations.
• Warm, customer‑service oriented disposition.
• Clear communicator with strong people‑building skills.
• Detail‑oriented and able to motivate a team.
