Technical Inspector (Automotive)

About the role

The Technical Inspector (Automotive) will be based in Kuwait supporting the LOGCAP program. Reporting to the Material Maintenance Manager and Technical Inspector Lead, you will conduct initial, in‑progress and final inspections of military and commercial automotive equipment, ensuring compliance with U.S. Government property regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform classification, inspection and testing of automotive equipment using TMDE and GCSS‑A.
• Diagnose defects, troubleshoot issues, and assist shop personnel with repairs.
• Conduct Actual Cost of Damages (ACOD), Estimated Cost of Damages (ECOD) and Estimated Cost of Repairs (ECOR) assessments.
• Execute battlefield damage assessment and repair (BDAR) and load‑testing procedures.
• Manage parts ordering, PDQR processes, and equipment disposal classification per Army regulations.
• Document findings, suggest process improvements, and support operational readiness.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; civilian trade qualification or U.S. military wheel mechanic certification (DD214 required).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait driver’s license.
• Minimum five (5) years automotive repair/shop experience and two (2) years as a Technical Inspector.
