AI & Automations Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Skayl is looking for an AI & Automations Engineer to design, build, and maintain production‑ready automation systems. You will work remotely, turning process briefs into reliable, AI‑enhanced workflows that save time and reduce errors.

Key responsibilities

• Receive process briefs from department leads and the Head of Operations and develop automations using N8N, Make, Claude Code, and API integrations.
• Deploy AI‑powered workflows with Claude, OpenAI, and coding tools where logic alone isn’t sufficient.
• Own uptime and reliability of every automation, fixing failures quickly and preventing recurrence.
• Document each automation in ClickUp for team understanding and maintenance.
• Create SOPs and training videos to enable confident use of the tools you build.
• Build reusable templates and frameworks that scale across clients and departments.
• Track and report weekly on impact metrics such as time saved, error reduction, and adoption rates.
• Stay current on AI tools, evaluate new solutions quarterly, and prototype emerging approaches.

Required profile

• Proven experience deploying automations in a business environment.
• Self‑directed and able to deliver working solutions without daily supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset – you debug until the automation works.
• Fast deployment speed without over‑engineering.
• High reliability standards; you build systems that run in production unattended.
• Obsessively curious about AI developments and future trends.
• Available full‑time and able to work remotely.
