Category Manager – Strategy & Growth

About the role

Boutiqaat is seeking a results‑driven Category Manager to own and grow specific product categories. You will translate market insights into actionable strategies, turn suppliers into partners, and ensure categories deliver profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category plans aligned with business objectives and the marketing calendar.
• Create rolling forecasts, manage Open‑to‑Buy budgets, and monitor performance against targets.
• Lead strategic sourcing, negotiate with suppliers, and manage supplier relationships to mitigate risk.
• Optimize pricing, lead times, fill rates and overall operational efficiency.
• Oversee private‑label purchasing, production schedules and logistics to meet demand.
• Design exit strategies for slow‑moving items through promotions or campaigns.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Digital, IT and BI teams to secure stock for events and improve reporting.
• Lead daily purchasing operations, allocate tasks, train new team members and ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in category management or purchasing.
• Strong analytical ability to turn data into strategic decisions.
• Solid knowledge of marketing, sales, forecasting and consumer trends.
• Strategic mindset with decisive decision‑making skills.
