Country Head – Power Transmission & Distribution (Kuwait)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Country Head to lead our Power Transmission & Distribution business in Kuwait. The role combines strategic leadership, business development and end‑to‑end project delivery for substations, overhead lines and underground cabling.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the country‑level T&D strategy aligned with regional objectives.
• Represent the organisation with government bodies, utilities and key stakeholders.
• Identify and secure new projects, lead tendering, bid strategy and contract negotiations.
• Oversee delivery of substations, transmission lines, underground cables and grid‑modernisation initiatives, ensuring time, cost, quality and safety targets.
• Manage the country P&L, budgets, forecasting, invoicing and cash‑flow.
• Build, mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project managers.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwaiti regulations, permits and international standards (IEC, IEEE) and maintain HSE standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory); Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Project Management preferred.
• 15‑20 years of experience in power transmission & distribution, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or country head role.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale T&D projects (132 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV substations, transmission lines and distribution networks).
• Previous experience working in Kuwait or the GCC region is strongly preferred.
