Credit Facilities Manager

About the role

The Credit Facilities Manager leads the organisation's credit risk function, shaping policy, evaluating applications and monitoring exposure to protect financial interests. This senior position holds final authority on credit approvals and works closely with business units to support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve credit policies and procedures aligned with risk appetite.
• Set and assign credit limits for customers and business units based on risk assessments.
• Monitor overall credit exposure, produce regular reports and flag emerging risks.
• Evaluate and approve or decline credit applications within delegated authority.
• Conduct periodic reviews of customer credit limits and maintain accurate credit records.
• Lead regular audits to ensure compliance with credit policies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with business units to resolve credit issues, provide guidance on creditworthiness and share market insights.
• Coach, develop and optimise the performance of the credit team, including joint field visits and workload management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Professional certification in credit or finance (e.g., CICP, CFA, CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Proven experience in credit risk management, policy development and credit assessment.
• Strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of financial statements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
