Fire Alarm Lead (Kuwait)

About the role

The Fire Alarm Lead will be based in Kuwait supporting LOGCAP operations under the supervision of the Fire Protection Systems Supervisor. The role involves routine and emergency maintenance of fire alarm and fire suppression systems across secure, critical, and sensitive U.S. Army installations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on fire alarm control panels, initiating devices, and monitoring equipment in accordance with NFPA 72 and UFC 3-600-01.
• Inspect, test, and maintain fire suppression systems (wet‑pipe, pre‑action, FM‑200, fire pumps) following NFPA 25, NFPA 2001, and UFC 3-601-02.
• Repair and replace circuit boards, breakers, transformers, filters, batteries, and rectifiers.
• Utilize test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, telephone test sets, smoke detector sensitivity testers, and wire tracing tools to diagnose faults.
• Program fire alarm panels and perform load calculations using specialized software.
• Maintain accountability for parts, tools, and materials; request supplies as needed.
• Operate safely in secure military areas, adhering to U.S. Army security procedures and contract requirements.

Required profile

• Experience with fire alarm and fire suppression system maintenance in a secure or military environment.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 25, NFPA 2001, and relevant UFC codes.
• Ability to work independently and respond to emergency service calls after normal work periods.
• Willingness to comply with U.S. Army security protocols.
