Gastroenterology Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Consultant/Specialist with strong expertise in Endoscopy and gastrointestinal procedures to provide high‑quality patient care and manage complex gastroenterological cases. The role involves diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions, performing endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including Upper GI Endoscopy and Colonoscopy.
• Develop treatment plans and provide patient follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Support and guide junior medical staff when required.

Required profile

• Master’s/Postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology or a relevant specialty.
• Several years post‑graduation experience for Consultant level.
• Several years relevant experience for Specialist level.
• Specialized Endoscopy training or a 6‑12 month Endoscopy Fellowship.
• Proven experience in Gastroenterology and Endoscopic procedures.
• GCI & GCA accreditation (mandatory).
