HSE Engineer – Oil & Gas EPC Project

About the role

Archirodon, an international EPC contractor active for more than half a century in energy, marine, infrastructure and defence and security projects, is looking for HSE Engineers to join its team on the Shuaiba Oil Pier project in Kuwait. The HSE Engineer supports the implementation of health, safety and environmental programmes and ensures compliance with KNPC regulations and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of health, safety and environmental programmes and ensure compliance with KNPC regulations and standards.
• Lead a team of HSE professionals such as HSE engineers, senior HSE officers and HSE officers.
• Develop HSE plans and emergency response procedures.
• Analyse incidents using root cause analysis techniques.
• Apply SSOW (PTW, WMS, risk assessment).

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, B.Tech or B.E. degree.
• At least 5 years of safety work experience in oil and gas construction, or 6 years in safety in oil and gas fields, refineries or petrochemical plants.
• International Safety Diploma or NEBOSH International Diploma; CSP, CMIOSH or CRSP highly recommended.
• Lead auditor certification for ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or ISO 9001 highly appreciated.
• Fluent English, spoken, read and written; good communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.
• Nice to have: previous experience in GCC countries on oil and gas projects with an EPC contractor or heavy industrial construction company.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of HSE issues, practices and behavioural aspects in oil and gas EPC.
• Knowledge of HSE management systems and legislative requirements.
• Broad knowledge of audit processes.
• Awareness of H2S hazards and control measures.
