HSE Supervisor – Oil & Gas / Power Generation

About the role

The HSE Supervisor will lead health, safety and environmental activities on construction sites for a 5‑year PMC contract with Kuwait Oil Company. The role ensures compliance with KOC policies, Kuwaiti legislation, and international HSE standards while supporting safe and efficient project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and control HSE risks on all construction activities.
• Monitor the EPC contractor’s HSE Management System and provide guidance to ensure consistent compliance.
• Interpret KOC safety policies and statutory requirements, advising EPC management on corrective actions.
• Track and report on compliance with Kuwait legislative requirements and disseminate updates to project teams.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with KOC, regulatory bodies, and EPC contractors.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify HSE implementation and promote a safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. degree (or high school with IOSH/NEBOSH certification) and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
• At least 10 years of post‑graduation experience, including 5 years in oil & gas and 5 years in an HSE supervisory role.
• Successful completion of recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in HSE reporting, risk identification, and control on construction sites within oil & gas or similar industries.
