Mid-Level Accountant – Kuwait

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented accountant to join the Finance Department of a leading telecom, contracting and trading group in Kuwait. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, from ledger maintenance to cash‑flow planning, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger and record all financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, perform bank reconciliations and monitor receivable aging.
• Develop daily, weekly and monthly cash‑flow forecasts and support working‑capital management.
• Conduct budget versus actual variance analysis and produce management reports.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, depreciation schedules and assist with payroll accounting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT regulations, internal controls and support internal and external audits.
• Record and manage transactions using ERP systems, preferably Odoo.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5‑7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in telecom, contracting or trading & sales.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA or CA (part‑qualified or qualified).
• Proven experience in cash‑flow management, budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and VAT regulations.
