Research & Development Manager

About the role

The Research & Development Manager will lead the R&D team and laboratory operations for a lubricant manufacturing business. This senior position is responsible for driving product innovation, improving existing formulations, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the R&D team and laboratory activities.
• Develop and improve lubricant products and formulations.
• Conduct market research and technical product development.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and OEMs.
• Oversee product testing, documentation, and QMS implementation.
• Provide technical support and product training to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product data sheets and certifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the lubricant manufacturing industry.
• At least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of lubricant product development and formulation.
• Fluent in English with strong leadership, communication and organizational abilities.
