Technical Office Manager – Civil Engineering

About the role

Lead the project technical office for large‑scale water/wastewater treatment projects, overseeing the production and approval of shop drawings, method statements, technical submittals and as‑built documentation, and ensuring compliance with MPW specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the technical office organisation, drawing production programme and submittal schedule aligned with the construction baseline.
• Review and authorise all shop drawings, bar‑bending schedules, method statements and technical submittals before issue to the Consultant.
• Manage design interface with the Designer/Design Sub‑Consultant, handling design change requests, technical clarifications and value‑engineering proposals.
• Direct resolution of design conflicts and multi‑discipline clash detection between civil, mechanical, electrical and I&C works.
• Oversee compilation of as‑built documentation, input to O&M manuals and technical handover dossiers.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering with minimum 15 years of engineering and technical office experience on large‑scale water/wastewater or heavy civil EPC projects.
• At least 5 years leading a project technical office; GCC experience preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic is an asset.
