About the role
The Telecommunications Supervisor will lead the daily operation and maintenance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and telecommunications systems in Kuwait. This position ensures that all equipment is kept in optimal condition, coordinates technical teams, and responds to emergencies with technical direction.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operation and maintenance of ELV and telecommunications systems and equipment.
- Direct and monitor technicians and assistant technicians to ensure safe, efficient work that meets standards.
- Diagnose system faults and coordinate troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and system failures, providing technical support to the maintenance team.
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor maintenance activities for compliance with procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, service records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with management, other departments, contractors, and technical teams as required.
- Ensure availability and proper use of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Identify recurring faults and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
- Provide technical guidance and on‑the‑job support to technicians and assistant technicians.
- Work night shifts, weekends, and emergency situations when required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and relevant technical standards.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications and/or ELV systems operation and maintenance.
- Strong practical knowledge of ELV systems and telecommunications equipment.
- Proven experience supervising technicians and assistant technicians.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical faults and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Capability to work independently and under pressure.
- Willingness to work night shifts and emergency call‑outs.
- Valid Kuwaiti driving license.
- Good knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to prepare maintenance reports and technical documentation.
