Bengali Linguist (CAT II) – CENTCOM Operations

About the role
Amentum is seeking a qualified Bengali linguist to support U.S. military operations in Kuwait. The role involves providing language expertise and cultural insight to senior leadership as part of CENTCOM missions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational contract linguist support for military operations, interpreting during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Transcribe and analyze verbal communications.
- Scan, research, and analyze foreign‑language documents for key information.
- Supply a variety of translation and interpretation services for Bengali.
Required profile
- U.S. citizen with a current U.S. passport.
- Excellent command of Bengali and English; ILR level 3 in Bengali and level 2+ in English.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
- Ability to work in Kuwait, including shifts and extended hours for 24 × 7 operations.
- Familiarity with local culture and customs; willingness to undergo a medical examination.
