Civil Inspector – Port Infrastructure (Kuwait)

About the role

Egis is seeking a skilled Civil Inspector to join its port development project in Kuwait. The successful candidate will ensure that all construction activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with approved designs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and quality‑control checks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate daily with the contractor, supervision team, and discipline engineers to keep site progress on track.
• Verify that construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, equipment, and construction sequences for compliance with project standards.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, test results, and site diaries.
• Provide input for daily, weekly, and monthly site reports.
• Identify potential risks, delays, or constructability issues and propose corrective actions.
• Track project schedules and budgets, recommending adjustments as needed.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably on port or marine projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing for port infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of early risk identification.
