Civil Inspector – Port Projects

About the role

Egis is looking for a skilled Civil Inspector to join its port development project in Kuwait. The successful candidate will ensure that all construction activities meet the required quality, safety, and technical standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and quality‑control checks on site.
• Coordinate daily with contractors, supervision teams, and discipline engineers to maintain smooth progress.
• Verify that construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, equipment, and construction sequences for compliance.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, checklists, test results, and site diaries.
• Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly site reports.
• Identify potential risks, delays, or constructability issues and propose corrective actions.
• Track project schedules and budgets, recommending adjustments when necessary.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably on port or marine projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of early risk identification.
