Civil Site Engineer – 400kV Transmission Line (Kuwait)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join our team immediately on a 400 kV Overhead Transmission Line project in Kuwait. The role involves supervising all civil works related to transmission tower foundations and ensuring that construction follows approved designs and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities for transmission line tower foundations, including excavation, reinforcement, formwork, concreting, grouting and backfilling.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, surveyors, consultants and other project disciplines, and review civil/structural drawings for discrepancies.
• Monitor material quality, workmanship, daily site progress and manpower productivity.
• Prepare daily and weekly site reports, maintain records and liaise with the Planning Engineer on progress.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements throughout all civil activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil works for HV/OHL projects, preferably 400 kV.
• Proven experience with transmission tower foundations and related excavation, reinforcement and concrete works.
• Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and specifications.
• Strong site supervision, coordination and reporting skills.
• Effective management of subcontractors and site activities.
• Immediate availability is mandatory.
