Collections Manager

About the role

An experienced Collections Manager is sought to oversee collections operations, lead debt recovery initiatives and manage outstanding receivables. The role suits someone with a background in collections, credit control and receivables management who can lead teams, build collection strategies and meet recovery targets while complying with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily collections operations and ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments.
• Develop and implement collection strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce overdue receivables.
• Lead, supervise and develop the collections team, ensuring individual and departmental targets are met.
• Monitor collection performance, recovery rates, overdue accounts and KPIs.
• Manage escalated cases, negotiate repayment arrangements and resolve complex payment issues.
• Review outstanding receivables and identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce delinquency.
• Coordinate with other departments and legal teams on debt recovery and escalated cases.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait regulations, legal procedures and company policies.
• Prepare periodic collection reports, performance analyses and management updates.
• Recommend improvements to collection processes, systems and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in collections, credit control, debt recovery or receivables management.
• Minimum 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience managing collections teams and achieving targets and KPIs.
• Good understanding of Kuwait regulations and legal procedures related to collections.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Good command of Arabic and English; Kuwaiti nationality is required.
• Experience in automotive, leasing, financing or instalment sectors is highly preferred.
