Compliance Manager

About the role

The client is looking for a Compliance Manager to oversee daily regulatory compliance operations across its Kuwait head office and Turkish product team. Reporting to the Head of Compliance and Legal, the role ensures adherence to Capital Markets Authority requirements and Kuwaiti law while providing second‑line oversight of AML and KYC functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day regulatory compliance activities and monitor compliance with Capital Markets Authority (CMA) rules.
• Develop and execute the annual compliance monitoring plan, conduct risk‑based testing and track remediation actions.
• Provide second‑line oversight of AML and KYC processes, reviewing risk ratings and screening outcomes.
• Assess new products, features and client‑facing materials to ensure regulatory alignment at the design stage.
• Prepare regulatory reports and advise internal departments in Kuwait and product teams in Turkey.
• Maintain compliance policies, governance frameworks and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs or internal control within a financial institution.
• At least 3 years working in a CMA‑licensed entity or bank.
• Professional certification such as CISI Kuwait Rules and Regulations, ICA or ACAMS (highly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Kuwait capital markets framework and AML/CFT legal obligations.
