About the role
Worley is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead commercial and contractual activities for assigned projects. The role involves preparing tender packages, managing contract actions, and supporting the client throughout the tender and construction phases.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare tender packages in the client’s standard format and obtain client approval.
- Raise contract action requests after client approval and monitor tender progress.
- Assist the client with pre‑tender meetings, site visits, query responses, and preparation of supplementary letters.
- Evaluate tenders, recommend awards, and secure internal and external approvals.
- Draft contract documentation for signature and monitor construction activities for potential claims.
- Review contractor correspondence, produce recommended client responses, and evaluate construction claims.
- Participate in strategic project planning, including risk assessment and bid/no‑bid analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely contract administration by supervising Contract Administrators.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional groups for proposal preparation and negotiations.
- Identify contractual risks in proposals and negotiate complex or sensitive issues with client management.
- Assign staffing, provide training, review work output, and conduct performance evaluations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Certified Contracts Manager qualification from a reputable professional association.
- Significant post‑graduation experience in contract administration within large, international engineering firms.
- Experience in oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical industries.
- Proven background as a Contracts Manager in an engineering environment.
