About the role
The Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry will join the Pastry Kitchen at Jumeirah Messilah Beach, supporting the creation of high‑quality desserts and pastries for the resort’s diverse dining venues. This position reports to the Chef de Cuisine and works closely with the culinary team to maintain the brand’s standards of excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior pastry chefs in preparing and presenting a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Report any accidents, sickness, or equipment breakdowns promptly to the Chef de Cuisine with clear details.
- Identify potential issues before they occur and request assistance to prevent breakdowns.
- Communicate breakdown information immediately to enable root‑cause analysis and prevent recurrence.
- Adapt positively to changes in departmental functions as dictated by industry or hotel requirements.
- Act as an ambassador of lateral service, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Follow all safety procedures, food hygiene, and safe food handling policies.
- Adhere to culinary standards, recipes, and preparation guidelines.
