Director of Strategy, Institutional Performance & Emerging Technology

About the role

The Director of the Office of Strategy, Institutional Performance & Emerging Technology serves as the President’s closest strategic partner, ensuring that AIU’s RISE Strategy is operationalized, tracked, and delivered on time. This senior leadership position oversees performance intelligence, emerging technology scouting, and strategic project alignment across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution cycle of the RISE Strategy, including KPI monitoring, quarterly performance reporting, and Board reporting.
• Maintain and continuously improve the institutional performance management framework using the Balanced Scorecard methodology.
• Scout, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies relevant to academic and administrative operations, acting as an innovation incubator.
• Coordinate with the university’s PMO and Special Projects teams to ensure strategic alignment and progress of major initiatives.
• Provide timely updates to the President on projects that materially affect strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership to drive institutional performance.
• Experience in translating institutional strategy into measurable outcomes.
• Strong understanding of performance management frameworks and strategic technology evaluation.
