Engineering Technician – Secret Clearance (ASAB ESS)

About the role

The Engineering Technician will support installation engineering, construction management, surveying, drafting and geospatial data development for the ASAB Engineering Support Services (ESS) program at Prince Sultan Air Base. This position provides technical assistance across planning, project execution, GIS and documentation to keep facilities and infrastructure data accurate, compliant and mission‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Perform surveying, topographic, boundary and utility surveys on‑site.
• Create and maintain technical drawings, maps and geospatial datasets using AutoCAD and GIS software.
• Support construction inspections, documentation, quality assurance and as‑built drawing updates.
• Assist with site preparation coordination, permits, utility outage documentation and airfield obstruction data updates.
• Maintain GeoBase, CIP, MDS and MDL updates in accordance with SDSFIE and Air Force standards.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license and passport (13 months validity, 6 blank visa pages).
• Minimum three years combined experience in surveying, drafting, construction management and project management.
• At least one year recent experience with AutoCAD and GIS software.
• Two years experience working with public or government organizations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance and sign an NDA.
