Finance Manager - Automotive

About the role

The Finance Manager – Automotive will support the Finance Director by leading the finance analysis function for the automotive business unit. This position blends strategic leadership with hands‑on financial work, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to drive financial performance and achieve targets.
• Monitor, interpret, and report financial results, providing insights and recommendations to General Managers and Directors.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, coordinating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Prepare strategic, business, and quarterly review plans for corporate management.
• Identify and address long‑term strategic issues through effective budgeting and forecasting.
• Review and enhance financial systems, supporting implementation of new tools.
• Conduct revenue‑enhancing and cost‑saving analyses, such as pricing and profitability studies.
• Oversee capital expenditure models and manage internal approval processes.
• Maintain key relationships with senior business leaders and deliver ad‑hoc analysis as needed.
• Evaluate new business opportunities and expansion projects by building initial financial models.
• Direct and coordinate all activities of the financial control function.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts.

Required profile

• Professional qualification – CA, CPA, CMA, MBA or equivalent.
• 4‑8 years of post‑qualification finance experience, including at least 1 year as a Finance Manager in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting concepts and excellent analytical capability.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to interact with VP‑level stakeholders.
• Proven talent development skills, capable of coaching and mentoring diverse teams.
• Ability to influence, articulate viewpoints and manage departmental delivery on time.
