Senior Manager, Compliance

About the role

Tabby is launching its operations in Kuwait and is looking for a Senior Manager, Compliance to build the compliance function from the ground up. The role will serve as the primary liaison with the Central Bank of Kuwait and will be responsible for establishing policies, controls and monitoring frameworks that support the company’s BNPL and financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all interactions with the Central Bank of Kuwait, including correspondence, inspections and supervisory dialogue.
• Lead the registration and licensing programme with the CBK, coordinating the compliance workstream.
• Design and implement a Kuwait‑specific compliance framework covering policies, controls, risk assessments and monitoring plans.
• Act as Money‑Laundering Reporting Officer, overseeing AML/CFT programmes, suspicious transaction reporting, customer due‑diligence, sanctions screening and transaction monitoring.
• Maintain the BNPL consumer‑protection framework, handling dispute resolution, fee transparency and complaint management.
• Track regulatory changes, evaluate business impact and drive implementation across product, marketing and customer‑service teams.
• Prepare compliance reports for the CBK and internal audit and risk committees.
• Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, AML/CFT or regulatory advisory within a Central Bank of Kuwait‑regulated entity such as a bank, finance company, exchange house or e‑payment provider.
• Proven ability to build a compliance function from scratch and to act as the main point of contact with regulators.
• Strong understanding of BNPL consumer‑protection requirements and financial‑services regulations in the GCC.
