Fire Lieutenant

About the role

The Fire Lieutenant will lead a fire apparatus crew in Kuwait, supporting WEXMAC operations. As a crew chief, you will direct firefighting, rescue, hazmat, and medical response activities to protect lives, property, and mission-critical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and participate in fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical operations.
• Conduct and oversee training drills, proficiency courses, and DoD firefighter certification programs.
• Perform fire protection inspections and prepare related reports.
• Assign and supervise station maintenance tasks, including equipment cleaning and upkeep.
• Lead the crew during incidents when senior supervisors are unavailable.
• Maintain situational awareness of hazardous materials, toxic gases, and radiological threats.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of relevant firefighting or emergency services experience.
• Ability to lead a crew under high‑stress, hazardous conditions.
• Physical fitness meeting DoD standards and ability to wear specialized protective gear.
• Valid certifications such as Fire Instructor I, HazMat Technician, and Emergency Medical Responder.
