Firefighter Driver Operator

About the role

The Firefighter Driver Operator is based in Kuwait and supports emergency fire and medical operations for V2X. The role combines vehicle operation, fire‑fighter duties, and advanced life support assistance to ensure rapid, safe response to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to fire, medical, and related emergency calls when dispatched.
• Provide immediate support to paramedics and deliver pre‑hospital emergency medical care.
• Transport patients safely to designated hospitals or clinics.
• Maintain fire‑fighting vehicles, equipment, and communication systems in a ready condition.
• Staff the Fire Alarm Communications Center, monitor fire alarm systems, and dispatch appropriate resources.
• Participate in continuing medical education as both instructor and student.
• Communicate effectively via radio, telephone, and written reports.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Fire Chief or designee.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred).
• Two years of related experience (may substitute for one year of education).
• Eligibility for Installation Access and ability to obtain a host‑nation driver’s license.
• Certification with IFSAC or Pro‑Board and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or equivalent.
