Fire/EMS Chief – Kuwait

About the role

This position is based in Kuwait supporting the WEXMAC installation for V2X. The Fire/EMS Chief oversees daily fire station operations, ensures personnel are trained and ready for rapid response, and manages fire protection, alarm systems, and emergency medical services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage fire station daily operations, training, inspections, and readiness of fire protection and alarm systems.
• Provide 24/7 fire, aircraft rescue, structural firefighting, hazardous‑materials response, technical rescue and EMS support.
• Develop and implement fire service plans, staffing, equipment procurement and budget management.
• Oversee compliance self‑inspection programs and ensure adherence to DoD Manual 6055.06, Army regulations and fire ordinances.
• Direct, coordinate and review work plans for fire service staff, assign projects and evaluate performance.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or higher in fire technology (or equivalent experience).
• Fire Officer IV certification; additional certifications such as Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, HAZMAT Incident Commander, Airport Fire Fighter, and Shipboard Firefighter are preferred.
• U.S. citizenship with Secret security clearance.
• Minimum ten years fire‑protection experience, including three years at Assistant Chief level.
• Experience managing large, geographically dispersed fire departments and significant budgets.

• Knowledge of fire chemistry, preventive maintenance of firefighting equipment, and fire‑protection systems
