About the role
The General Support Specialist (Runner) ensures guests and associates receive needed items promptly across all hotel departments. This position is essential for smooth hotel operations and memorable guest experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver items directly to guest rooms and support housekeeping, engineering, banquets, restaurants, and front office.
- Move throughout the hotel, including narrow, confined, elevated spaces, stairs, and service ramps.
- Handle, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 55 lb without assistance.
- Read and verify information in various formats, including small print, and visually inspect tools and equipment.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior related work experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks safely.
Required skills
- Physical stamina to lift and move items up to 55 lb.
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions and labels.
