Head Chef – Fine Dining Italian Cuisine

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead a fine‑dining Italian kitchen in the Kuwait City Metropolitan Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating authentic, innovative Italian menus and ensuring the highest standards of culinary execution and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously refresh the Italian menu, balancing tradition with modern culinary trends.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate daily food preparation and service, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Manage kitchen brigade schedules, training, and performance, fostering a respectful and efficient work environment.
• Control inventory, ordering, stock levels and food costing to optimise profitability.
• Enforce food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards in line with local and international regulations.
• Collaborate with front‑of‑house and management on seasonal menus, special events and overall restaurant strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fine‑dining setting, preferably with international exposure.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities, with a track record of mentoring kitchen staff.
• Deep knowledge of Italian cuisine, both traditional and contemporary, and high‑level plating techniques.
• Solid understanding of kitchen operations, inventory control, supplier coordination and waste reduction.
• Commitment to maintaining exacting quality standards under high‑pressure service periods.
